The Mayor of Karposh Municipality, Sotir Lukrovski, held a working meeting today in his office with the President of the Economic Chamber of North Macedonia, Branko Azeski. The meeting focused on the municipality’s economic potential and the role of the business sector in the development of local self-government. In this context, Karposh Municipality possesses a well-developed road and traffic infrastructure, which represents one of the key factors contributing to greater economic growth.

The participants reached a joint conclusion that Karposh Municipality undoubtedly has the potential to develop into an attractive business destination for economic operators. In this regard, and in line with the municipality’s strategic documents, there is potential for faster development of urbanized locations and better utilization of tourism capacities. According to the interlocutors, the investment needs relate to improving infrastructure and the overall business environment, encouraging and supporting the economic activities of the private sector, and building human resource capacity for employment, business development, and the implementation of municipal projects.

According to the latest records from 2021, Karposh has approximately 4,500 active business entities, predominantly in wholesale and retail trade, with more than 600 companies from the manufacturing industry and the construction sector also registered—reflecting the structure of economic development in this Skopje municipality.
