Azeski and Companies Give Full Support to The “Macedonian - The Best” Campaign

05/09/2025

Today, at the Economic Chamber of N Macedonia, another working meeting was held between representatives of the business sector and the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Economy, led by the Chamber’s President, Branko Azeski, and the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Economy, Cvetan Tripunov.

As the minister emphasized at the very beginning of the meeting, the campaign aims to raise national awareness of domestic products. Following analyses of economic indicators, which in part showed a downward trend, the Government designed and launched the campaign titled “Macedonian – The Best” in order to strengthen consumer awareness of domestic food products and to stimulate local production.

With joint efforts by the Government, the Ministry, and the business sector, trust will be restored in our knowledge, in our own hands, and in our potential—while keeping money circulating in the national economy. The Government has its role in promoting, supporting, and creating a favorable business climate; enterprises have their role in producing quality goods we can all be proud of; and we, as citizens, have the most important role of all—the power to choose.

At the outset, the campaign included only primary producers, but in the next phase, it will also cover the manufacturing sector.

President of the Chamber, Branko Azeski, stressed that what is missing is a clear goal: increasing the domestic gross product. “Only in this way will we be able to revitalize the domestic economy. This is not a call for a closed economy, but for open self-confidence. This campaign is a call to all of us—the Government, business, and citizens—to unite around a common goal: the prosperity of our country,” Azeski said.

Domestic companies are registering daily on the platform makedonskonajdobro.mk, while supermarkets have already begun labeling local products. At the same time, in order to ensure greater impact and avoid misuse, companies proposed the establishment of a joint coordinating body to manage the campaign, which has already been very well received by citizens.

At the conclusion of the meeting, President Azeski promised that this campaign would also be presented to the Chamber’s highest bodies, expressing his expectation that it would find support and application in other sectors of the economy as well.
