On the occasion of its patron’s day, ASUC Boro Petrushevski in Skopje organized an Open Day event aimed at introducing future secondary school students to the school's vocational programs and educational profiles, as well as at strengthening cooperation with the business sector.
Ninth-grade students from primary schools across Skopje participated in a series of interactive activities. They had the opportunity to visit the Driving School with a driving simulator, the Technical Inspection Station, ASUC Broker, the school’s workshop, and classrooms for both practical and theoretical classes. Through these activities, the young visitors gained first-hand insight into the modern learning environment and the concrete professional development opportunities offered by the school.
In addition to the educational aspect, the event also focused on collaboration with the business community. The school’s social partners presented their activities at dedicated stands, and some conducted interviews with graduating students. This allowed for direct contact between companies and students, opening doors for internships and potential future employment.
The Economic Chamber of Macedonia is actively working on improving dual education and practical training in vocational schools, with the goal of more efficiently linking the education system to the real needs of the labor market.
The Open Day at ASUC Boro Petrushevski stands as a successful example of this strategy in action, where education and business operate in mutual interest — the development of a skilled and competitive workforce.
