“My respect for the Economic Chamber is at the highest level because its members are the companies that drive Macedonian exports, the companies that fill our budget, the companies that lead us forward. The Chamber is the voice of business—from designing and adopting policies to identifying problems and seeking solutions,” said Dr. Nikica Mojsoska-Blazhevski, Vice President of the Management Board of the Economic Chamber and Chief Executive Officer of Macedonia 2025, in the latest edition of Business Club with the Chamber’s President, Branko Azeski.

She emphasized that the Chamber is a collective body where everyone looks after their own interests, but ultimately the collective interest is what matters most—for both the economy and the state. She noted that the Economic Chamber provides companies with continuous support in various ways: securing loans and funding for technological equipment and modernization, facilitating joint participation in third markets, participation in trade fairs, and ensuring access to and exchange of relevant information.

“Every government knows the power of chambers and must listen to them and consult them when making decisions. We must not forget the crisis periods in which the Economic Chamber, as a partner, helped both companies and the state,” Mojsoska-Blazhevski added.

Later in the podcast, Dr. Mojsoska-Blazhevski stressed that as a small economy, Macedonia must base its economic growth on exports, but also on investments. According to her, companies need to shift their mindset and actively seek new markets.

“The West may be our future, but we must not neglect the East. We must remain globally open to all the opportunities the world offers,” she said.

In this regard, the Chamber will develop programs to support companies in entering new foreign markets, shifting business mindsets, conducting initial market research, and identifying partners.

Further in the discussion, Dr. Mojsoska-Blazhevski underlined that the state and the Chamber must jointly ensure a stable and predictable business climate through simplified regulation, in order to create fair conditions for companies to operate and to uphold the rule of law as the foundation for a stronger private sector and sustainable economic growth.
