Macedonian Tourism to Showcase at the B2B New Deal Europe Platform in London

19/02/2025

Representatives from the Hospitality and Tourism Association within the Economic Chamber held a meeting with Tine Murn and Robert Dee, the directors and founders of the prestigious European tourism event and forum New Deal Europe. Both Murn and Dee are prominent figures in the tourism industry and regional representatives of the European Tourism Association (ETOA) for the Adriatic and Balkan regions.

This high-profile event, which this year will feature representatives from the Macedonian tourism sector, including members of the Chamber’s Association, focuses on 12 countries from South-East Europe and the Balkans. It is held annually in London at the beginning of spring, facilitating around 1,200 meetings in a single day, along with three educational presentations on various destinations.

The directors of New Deal Europe are also signatories of the Tourism Manifesto of the European Travel Commission, a document advocating for sustainable development and the enhancement of the tourism sector across Europe.

During the meeting, opportunities for collaboration between Macedonian tour operators, hoteliers, and wineries with the New Deal Europe platform were discussed. Both sides explored strategies to enhance Macedonia’s tourism offerings and its participation in this significant forum. A shared commitment was expressed towards increasing Macedonia’s visibility as an attractive international tourist destination, both individually and regionally as part of the Western Balkans. The discussion also emphasized creating compelling multi-country tourism experiences, integrating two or three destinations within a single travel package.

This meeting marks an important step in strengthening Macedonia’s connections with international tourism organizations and in creating new opportunities for the country’s tourism sector.
