31/10/2024

Recently, the President of the Economic Chamber of North Macedonia, Branko Azeski, visited the Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye, where he met with His Excellency, Ambassador Fatih Ulusoj, and Halkbank's General Director, Bilal Sucubaşı. These visits were part of the commemoration of the 101st anniversary of the founding of the Turkish Republic and provided an opportunity to deepen the longstanding cooperation between the two countries.

Key topics of discussion with H.E. Fatih Ulusoj included current situations in Europe and Ukraine, with an emphasis on the importance of regional stability. Additionally, bilateral cooperation between North Macedonia and Türkiye, which has been growing in recent years, was discussed.

According to the latest data from 2024, economic cooperation between the two countries has shown significant growth, with Türkiye ranking among the top seven trading partners of North Macedonia. Compared to the same period in 2023, the volume of trade has increased by 7.7%. Turkish companies have also become significant investors in the Macedonian market, particularly in finance, banking, and construction sectors, supporting North Macedonia's economic stability and growth.

In the same spirit of collaboration, Chamber President Branko Azeski invited Deputy Minister of Economy and Labor Marjan Risteski, who held a meeting with members of the Chamber's Management Board.

The meeting covered various topics, such as the economic situation in the country, the implementation of the Law on Unfair Trade Practices, the government's economic policies, the Ministry's activities in supporting businesses, industries, and SMEs, and the need for greater corporate social responsibility among companies.

It was concluded during the meeting that the cooperation between the Ministry of Economy and Labor and the Economic Chamber is at a high level and should be further deepened and intensified.

The Ministry of Economy and Labor is a partner of the private sector, the driving force of the Macedonian economy, and we will continuously support the growth of industry and companies.
