In Geneva, the Economic Chamber was named the recipient of the 2026 UNCTAD ISAR Honors, advancing through all evaluation stages within the award's decisive voting process. With this accolade, the Chamber gains international recognition for its dedicated efforts in raising awareness and fostering the implementation of these standards across the private sector.
The award aims to raise awareness and promote the exchange of international best practices in the field of sustainability and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) reporting, as an integral component of corporate non-financial reporting. Established in 2018, the initiative has seen roughly 450 nominations to date from more than 60 countries across six distinct geographical regions worldwide.
Our Chamber has carried out multiple initiatives within the domain of sustainable business practices, notably:
a. A Decarbonization Guide (EIB), introduced for enterprises;
b. The establishment of the Circular Economy Center;
c. The active promotion of ESG standards, ISO certifications, the CBAM guidelines, and related frameworks.
In preceding years, the Chamber has consistently garnered a succession of prestigious international acknowledgments and honors, including the Order of Merit for the Chamber and special recognition for President Azeski presented by the President of the State on the occasion of the centenary of chamber operations.
