The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the Clean Technology Fund (CTF), within the framework of the Climate Investment Funds (CIF), in partnership with the Economic Chamber of North Macedonia, organized a promotional workshop on the application process for the financial instrument Green & Growth Program.
At the event held on 25 March 2026 at the Economic Chamber, 53 participants, members of the Chamber, were introduced to the application process for the Program, which aims to support the transition to a green economy and foster regional economic development in the Pelagonija and South-West regions of North Macedonia.
Companies, including MSMEs and corporations that are members of the Chamber, had the opportunity to assess whether their investment ideas—in areas such as green economy, energy efficiency and renewable energy sources, production enhancement, competitiveness, or innovation—are eligible for financing under the Program, and to better understand the benefits of participation. During the interactive session, participants learned about the required documentation, began completing application forms, and received clarification of the eligibility criteria.
The Green & Growth Program combines financing through an EBRD credit line channeled via local Partner Financial Institutions, a grant component of up to 15%, and technical assistance funded by the Clean Technology Fund (CTF). The Partner Financial Institutions are NLB Banka and Sparkasse Bank. Consultants provide support to participating companies throughout the application and implementation processes.
Participants also had the opportunity to learn about the advisory component benefits of the Program through a presentation by Ms. Maja Stolevska-Kostadinova, Principal Regional Coordinator at the EBRD.
Potential beneficiaries of the Green & Growth Program are advised to contact the Partner Financial Institutions, NLB Banka and Sparkasse Bank, for further information.
